Re-manufacturing and reconditioning are a proven method for increasing productivity. Significant savings can be seen over the cost of new machinery for either option. Consistent machine control, faster cycle times, energy savings and improved part quality are only a few of the benefits of a re-manufactured or reconditioned injection molding machine.
QSI also buys and sells used vertical injection molding machinery.
Machine models may no longer be manufactured by the original OEM. In the below example, our customer has 100’s of molds designed for this exact model configuration and did not want to have to rework all of their molds to fit a new machine model. QSI took this customers machine and remanufactured it from the ground up. We added new hydraulics, new electrical control systems, new guarding, repaired or replaced any mechanical items that were damaged and painted the entire machine. The cost savings just on the machine alone were around 20% vs. buying a new machine.
QSI works with both large shops and small to recondition machinery when a company does not have a lot of money to invest in a new molding machine. QSI can work with machinery from our inventory or customer supplied machines and we repair or replace what is broken and recalibrate the machine back to its original specifications. We offer a warranty on the machine and train the customer on its proper operation. Cost savings over a new machine purchase is around 50%.
