QSI THROUGH THE YEARS

Beginning from a garage, QSI Automation, Inc. was founded as a partnership in November of 1988. Initial business was in vibratory feeder bowls, conveying systems, control panels, and automated equipment.

In 1991, an alliance with an injection molding machine (IMM) supplier was formed to offer automated insert molding systems. This alliance continues today, as an important strategic partnership.

In 1997, QSI acquired an experienced injection mold shop and brought this knowledge and capability in-house. Additional machining capabilities were also added, keeping virtually all machined components for industrial automation systems, injection molds and injection molding machine retrofits in-house.

In 2002, the Plastics Machinery Group was launched. Responding to numerous requests from our customers to assist with their injection molding machine needs, QSI expanded by adding the technical experience to rebuild, retrofit and service our customers injection molding machinery.

QSI purchased a machining business and facility in 2012 and formed QSI Custom Machining. The additional facility and equipment suits the custom machining of larger scale plates and components.

From a garage in 1988, to now two facilities totaling 35,000 sq. ft. and over 50 qualified and experienced employees, QSI has the capacity, knowledge and expertise to make your project a success.

In 2019, the Plastics Machinery Group moved into our newest building expansion. The additional room allows QSI to better serve our customer needs in the future.

In 2020, the Plastics Machinery Group unveiled the newest line of Atlas Injection Molding Machines beginning with the PMG-30 30 Ton Horizontal/Vertical machine.

In 2022, a purchase of 3 additional acres was finalized, allowing for more room to grow our facility.

QSI is excited to meet another milestone in our years of service. The customer relationships we’ve developed have provided continued growth. With our now 70 employees and 50,000 sq. ft., we’re even better positioned to provide customer services with Quality, Service, & Integrity. QSI is excited for continued and future partnerships.
