We are looking to grow our team by adding a new Automation Technician.  This is a full time hourly position that is responsible for performing mechanical assembly and technical debug of custom automation systems.  Systems range from simple hand tooling and fixtures to fully automated robotic insert molding systems.  From concept to installation, you’ll be directly involved in the entire process, bringing ideas to life and creating custom, automated machinery!

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of custom automation systems
• Mechanical debug and troubleshooting
• Electrical machine wiring (machine to cabinet)
• Provide basic troubleshooting of electrical wiring
• Provide on-site installations/service at customer facilities
• Maintain cleanliness/organization of the shop floor and your work areas
• Maintain professional relationship with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Estimated 10-15% overnight travel inside the US, with no weekend travel

Qualifications

• Previous knowledge/experience with automation, industrial machinery assembly, and/or maintenance required.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems is required.
• Experience with machine shop equipment (manual mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) is a plus.
